About the Role
Located in New Plymouth, Taranaki, Tranzit Group, a century-old leader in New Zealand’s transport industry, is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their Taranaki workshop team. This position offers the chance to work on a wide-ranging fleet comprising both conventional diesel vehicles and the latest electric vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing scheduled servicing and minor repairs to ensure vehicles remain safely roadworthy.
- Preparing vehicles for Certificate of Fitness (COF) inspections.
- Identifying and fixing mechanical faults efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all mechanical work.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic, preferably with background in road transport.
- Strong capabilities in diagnostic techniques and mechanical repairs.
- Dependable team player with excellent communication skills.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver's license, ideally Class 2 or higher.
