Overview
This is a contract paralegal role focused on providing support in settlement administration with a duration of three months and potential for extension or conversion. The position is fully remote but requires residing in an approved hub state within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plaintiffs in gathering necessary documents and submitting filings efficiently.
- Manage escalated communications from Contact Center agents including phone calls and emails.
- Examine and interpret settlement agreements and related court documents.
- Provide accurate and professional responses to complex claimant questions.
- Act as a communication bridge between Contact Center Operations and Client Services teams.
- Detect escalation patterns and propose improvements to processes.
- Contribute to scripting updates for frequent escalation cases.
- Keep thorough records of all customer interactions.
- Support additional tasks as assigned to the Hypercare Escalation Team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess Paralegal Certification or a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
- High attention to detail is essential.
- Comfortable interacting directly with callers and claimant parties.
- Quick learner with the ability to absorb new legal topics rapidly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of analyzing legal texts and explaining concepts clearly.
- Experienced in managing complex customer inquiries.
- Previous background in contact center or customer support roles is advantageous.
Working Hours
- Normal working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM according to the candidate’s local time zone.
- Training sessions will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
