Paralegal (Settlement Administration Support)

Overview

This is a contract paralegal role focused on providing support in settlement administration with a duration of three months and potential for extension or conversion. The position is fully remote but requires residing in an approved hub state within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist plaintiffs in gathering necessary documents and submitting filings efficiently.
• Manage escalated communications from Contact Center agents including phone calls and emails.
• Examine and interpret settlement agreements and related court documents.
• Provide accurate and professional responses to complex claimant questions.
• Act as a communication bridge between Contact Center Operations and Client Services teams.
• Detect escalation patterns and propose improvements to processes.
• Contribute to scripting updates for frequent escalation cases.
• Keep thorough records of all customer interactions.
• Support additional tasks as assigned to the Hypercare Escalation Team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess Paralegal Certification or a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• High attention to detail is essential.
• Comfortable interacting directly with callers and claimant parties.
• Quick learner with the ability to absorb new legal topics rapidly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of analyzing legal texts and explaining concepts clearly.
• Experienced in managing complex customer inquiries.
• Previous background in contact center or customer support roles is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Normal working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM according to the candidate’s local time zone.
• Training sessions will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
