About the Role

The Quality Assurance Executive will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and auditing quality procedures to ensure full compliance with federal, state, regulatory, and company quality standards. Supporting a moderately complex facility, this position involves managing third-party certifications and handling customer inquiries, inspection reports, and complaints related to quality and food or product safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits such as Corporate Food Safety Audits and oversee customer audits.
  • Perform annual verifications of the Quality Food Safety Management System including mock recalls to confirm traceability systems are effective.
  • Carry out food safety risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date HACCP Plan.
  • Monitor standards compliance to uphold factory certifications including Rainforest Alliance, RSPO, FSSC 22000, Halal, BPJPH, and Kosher.
  • Lead the Customer Complaint Team in managing investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and verification to resolve complaints effectively.
  • Manage Customer Complaint Report (CCR) preparation and dissemination.
  • Plan, execute, and follow-up on internal audits annually with timely closure of findings.
  • Conduct Quality Food Safety Management Reviews related to factory certifications.
  • Serve as an appointed Qualified Personnel authorized to issue QP Forms for Food Export Certificate Applications.
  • Adhere to Environmental operational control work instructions.
  • Support additional quality-related assignments as required.
  • Ensure communication of QA procedures across relevant departments prior to implementation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in using email, spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing software.
  • Preferred: Diploma in Food Science and Technology or Microbiology plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in the food industry.
  • Completion of Food Safety or Quality related training such as Food Safety Level 3 or 4, FSSC 22000 certification is desirable.
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability to work fully onsite at the Tuas location.
