Role overview

We are hiring for a Product Owner Lead role based in Germany on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application process and all subsequent hiring steps. In this position, you will shape product direction, coordinate execution, and keep product work closely tied to business priorities and development plans.

This is a blend of senior product ownership and people leadership. You will guide Product Owners working across several product lines, help improve delivery practices, and encourage strong cooperation between teams. The role is suited to someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with day-to-day product execution in a fast-moving, innovation-led environment serving international users.

Key accountabilities

  • Set and preserve a common product direction that supports business objectives and long-term expansion.
  • Work with Product Owners to rank roadmap items and direct effort toward the most valuable initiatives.
  • Coach, guide, and develop Product Owners so they strengthen stakeholder handling, prioritization, and product judgment.
  • Track delivery across several product areas and ensure roadmap commitments are delivered with quality and consistency.
  • Coordinate work across functions and remove blockers linked to dependencies, disagreements, or execution risks.
  • Create, improve, and sustain product management methods, standards, and frameworks that scale with the business.
  • Serve as Product Owner for one development squad, owning backlog order, requirement clarity, and delivery results.
  • Partner with engineering, design, QA, and business teams to deliver product changes effectively.
  • Keep product documentation current, accurate, and easy to use as business needs evolve.
  • Promote ongoing improvements that raise product quality, team efficiency, and overall effectiveness.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or comparable product leadership position.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading, mentoring, or managing Product Owners or product-oriented teams.
  • Hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, including discovery, validation, delivery, and optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge of product discovery, product delivery, Agile ways of working, and Scrum.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at different levels of the organization while balancing competing priorities.
  • Good understanding of UX/UI fundamentals and customer-focused product development.
  • Basic technical familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL to work effectively with developers.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to manage distributed or remote teams while keeping alignment and momentum.
  • Well-organized, accountable, and able to think strategically.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Figma is preferred.
  • Background in iGaming, gambling, betting, or closely related digital entertainment sectors is a strong plus.
  • Experience with third-party integrations, product testing, and quality assurance processes is helpful.
  • Awareness of SEO fundamentals and how they affect product performance is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Fully remote setup with flexibility to work from the place that suits your productivity and lifestyle best.
  • Chance to lead several product streams with strong ownership and strategic influence.
  • A defined career growth path supported by performance reviews, mentoring, and development opportunities.
  • Annual learning budget for courses, certifications, workshops, and other skill-building activities.
  • Access to corporate English training and online learning materials.
  • Private health insurance coverage.
  • Mental health support, including reimbursement for professional psychological services.
  • Monthly flexible benefits allowance for hobbies, wellness, sports, or personal growth.
  • Paid annual leave, public holidays, and sick leave to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunities to join team-building activities, company events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • A collaborative environment built around innovation, transparency, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
  • The chance to work on large-scale digital products in a fast-growing, tech-driven setting.
  • Low bureaucracy and a results-focused culture that values initiative and ownership.
