Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our enterprise open banking product team in Berlin. This role involves collaborating with internal product and business teams to leverage open banking across various use cases, and working with engineering teams to define requirements and understand technical architecture for scalable enterprise solutions. This is an individual contributor position.

Essential Responsibilities

• Utilize data to develop insights and define product or platform requirements aligned with the product vision.
• Gather customer experience insights and identify customer needs to inform product requirements.
• Conduct research, market analysis, and usability studies to support data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor product profitability metrics, including budget adherence.
• Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure effective execution.
• Liaise with product and technology leadership as necessary.
• Collaborate with content developers, data scientists, product designers, and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications

• Contribute to shaping the strategy and roadmap for open banking initiatives at PayPal.
• Drive the execution of assigned open banking roadmap initiatives, becoming a subject matter expert across technical, business, and user-centric aspects.
• Work closely with open banking use case teams to understand their requirements, how open banking can deliver value, and how their needs can influence platform-level roadmaps.
• Develop a strong technical understanding of assigned initiatives, ensuring technical execution meets product requirements and being able to communicate technical details to diverse audiences.
• Create comprehensive documentation for each initiative, detailing the rationale, anticipated benefits, success metrics, technical summaries, and key stakeholders.
• Practice strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of providing high-level summaries and detailed explanations.
