The role is centered on helping kids build confidence, athletic ability, and character through a structured, science-based program designed for children from walking age through 11 years old.

As a Coach, you’ll work directly with children and parents in a lively, professional environment. The position is suited to someone who enjoys being active, communicating with families, and making a meaningful impact on a child’s development.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Complimentary uniforms
  • Training and ongoing development

Schedule

Classes typically take place on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and in the evenings until 7:00 PM. Weekend sessions generally run from 8:00 AM through noon. There may also be opportunities to add hours through private party coaching. The role can support a part-time or full-time schedule, depending on studio needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead class groups of about 6 to 15 children across ages ranging from roughly 6 months to 11 years old

  • Create an upbeat, encouraging, and polished classroom atmosphere
  • Demonstrate exercises and supervise proper execution
  • Support parents of children age three and under with class direction and flow
  • Keep the studio clean, including the lobby, restrooms, blue floors, equipment, and mats
  • Dispose of trash, sweep and mop floors, wipe down equipment, and sanitize surfaces at the end of shifts
  • Use the coach app to log attendance, awards, and other class data for families
  • Communicate professionally with teammates through the company messaging system and stay responsive to updates
  • Work in a physically active setting that may involve walking several miles in a shift and moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to help children use correct technique and stay safe
  • Attend monthly programming meetings to learn the next month’s curriculum
  • Join additional staff meetings when requested by the director
  • Learn and lead special seasonal classes offered during school breaks through Coach KidStrong Academy

  • Working knowledge of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics is preferred
  • Clear, positive, and motivating communication skills are important
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through independently
  • Confidence in a visible, high-energy role
  • Must be at least 18 years old
