About the Role
KidStrong Woodbridge is expanding quickly and is seeking an energetic part-time Coach to lead children’s classes and support family engagement. The role is centered on helping kids build confidence, athletic ability, and character through a structured, science-based program designed for children from walking age through 11 years old.
As a Coach, you’ll work directly with children and parents in a lively, professional environment. The position is suited to someone who enjoys being active, communicating with families, and making a meaningful impact on a child’s development.

Schedule
Classes typically take place on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and in the evenings until 7:00 PM. Weekend sessions generally run from 8:00 AM through noon. There may also be opportunities to add hours through private party coaching. The role can support a part-time or full-time schedule, depending on studio needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead class groups of about 6 to 15 children across ages ranging from roughly 6 months to 11 years old
- Deliver the KidStrong curriculum as designed by the headquarters programming team
- Keep classes on time and ensure sessions start and finish according to schedule
- Welcome children and parents or guardians individually before class begins
- Create an upbeat, encouraging, and polished classroom atmosphere
- Demonstrate exercises and supervise proper execution
- Support parents of children age three and under with class direction and flow
- Keep the studio clean, including the lobby, restrooms, blue floors, equipment, and mats
- Dispose of trash, sweep and mop floors, wipe down equipment, and sanitize surfaces at the end of shifts
- Use the coach app to log attendance, awards, and other class data for families
- Communicate professionally with teammates through the company messaging system and stay responsive to updates
- Work in a physically active setting that may involve walking several miles in a shift and moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Maintain a hands-on approach to help children use correct technique and stay safe
- Attend monthly programming meetings to learn the next month’s curriculum
- Join additional staff meetings when requested by the director
- Learn and lead special seasonal classes offered during school breaks through Coach KidStrong Academy
- Complete required certification through the HQ training and certification team
Requirements
- Strong enthusiasm for working with children is essential
- A background in athletics or coaching is preferred
- Experience coaching kids in the relevant age range is highly desirable
- Comfort explaining the program and its purpose to parents or guardians is needed
- Working knowledge of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics is preferred
- Clear, positive, and motivating communication skills are important
- Ability to take initiative and follow through independently
- Confidence in a visible, high-energy role
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prior pediatric OT/PT experience is an advantage but not mandatory
