Role Summary

The English Language Supervisor role is a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah. It focuses on maintaining and improving the quality of English teaching and learning across the assigned grade levels. The post involves developing and revising English curricula so they remain aligned with school expectations and suitable international standards. The supervisor visits classrooms, offers practical and constructive guidance to teachers, and provides coaching and mentoring that supports professional improvement.

Key Duties

Daily work includes checking lesson plans, coordinating assessments, interpreting student achievement data, and suggesting support measures to raise learning results. The supervisor also facilitates subject meetings, arranges training sessions and workshops, partners with school leadership on academic planning, and keeps regular communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure the English program stays consistent and of high quality.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High-level English proficiency across reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Hands-on background in teaching English and implementing curricula in a school environment.
  • Capability to create, evaluate, and improve curricula, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
  • Experience observing lessons, mentoring teachers, and giving clear, actionable instructional feedback.
  • Ability to use assessment outcomes and student data to guide teaching improvements.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Experience planning and delivering professional development sessions and subject workshops.
  • Good organization, time management, and attention to detail for academic documentation and planning.
  • Familiarity with current language-teaching approaches and education technology tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related discipline; postgraduate study or teaching certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, coordination, or department-head position in education is preferred.
  • A learner-centered mindset and commitment to inclusive practice and ongoing professional growth.
