About the role
We are seeking a Banking Consultant who enjoys working with people and helping customers navigate everyday banking with confidence. In this position, you will deliver practical support, build trusted customer relationships, and help people make both simple and important financial decisions. The role also involves introducing customers to digital banking options and making their experience feel straightforward and welcoming.
Key responsibilities
- Provide warm, practical assistance for day-to-day banking tasks.
- Adapt your service by understanding what each customer needs most.
- Explain banking technology and self-service tools in a clear and supportive way.
- Contribute to a workplace that values collaboration, learning, and shared support.
- Help strengthen a culture that values community, development, and diversity.
- Support customers with account openings, updates, and product enquiries.
- Carry out duties in line with compliance and banking safety expectations.
- Work closely with the team and celebrate shared successes.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be confident in customer interactions, comfortable with technology, and able to work well in a changing environment. Strong communication, a collaborative attitude, and an understanding of compliance are important for success in this role.
Preference will be given to candidates who can communicate in Chinese, Cantonese, or Mandarin, although this is not mandatory if business needs can still be met.
Additional information
This role is a permanent position based in Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand. The standard work schedule is 37.5 hours per week.
