About the Role
The Senior Relationship Manager, Central Region is responsible for building trusted client and partner relationships that help grow the business. The position centres on providing high-quality investment guidance, supporting client retention, and spotting new business opportunities. It also carries a strong leadership element, including contributing to regional growth plans, encouraging best-practice ways of working, and supporting the growth of colleagues. You will work with both internal teams and external partners to improve collaboration, strengthen the pipeline, and help drive long-term client growth across the Central Region, which spans Waikato/BOP through to Wellington.

- Working hours: Standard Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of affluent clients by developing trusted relationships that deliver an excellent client experience and support business growth.
- As part of the regional leadership group, work with the Regional Manager, Central to shape regional growth plans and lead their execution.
- Build a smooth client journey by coordinating effectively with internal teams, external partners, and intermediaries to meet client needs.
- Work with colleagues across the country to promote a consistent, best-practice approach.
- Encourage strong business development practices within the region and help build acquisition capability among existing Private Bankers.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you should ideally have a Financial Adviser qualification that meets the standards set under National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5, or another approved relevant qualification. You’ll also need experience in financial services and investment advice, along with strong knowledge of financial markets. The role calls for excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities so you can work confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders. Being well connected in the community as an industry specialist will be an advantage, as will strong relationship management and senior-level stakeholder management skills. A broad understanding of the ANZ offering is also important so you can support a whole-of-bank approach to client solutions.
