About the Role
Binnies, a part of the RSK Group, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to become an integral member of our @one Alliance team based in Peterborough. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to project delivery excellence while embracing sustainability principles within construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are progressing according to schedule and budget, actively identifying and managing risks and opportunities to maintain control.
- Visit project sites to collect relevant data, transforming this information into insightful reports and presentations that support meeting project delivery milestones.
- Promote and integrate sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy usage, carbon emissions, waste generation, and optimizing the supply chain throughout design and construction phases.
- Coordinate contract obligations related to design, construction, and commissioning, guaranteeing adherence to and surpassing Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
- Provide reliable assistance to the Project Delivery Manager to facilitate efficient project completion and final accounts settlement that satisfy client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to identify challenges in project delivery and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in managing or supporting complex projects and activities directed toward planned objectives.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally to support various projects.
- Background in construction is advantageous, particularly with an interest in advancing within the commercial sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders through honest and collaborative engagement.
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of accountability and capability to drive performance.
- Proficiency with IT tools and openness to adopting new technologies.
- Demonstrated resilience and capacity to maintain focus and energy under pressure.
