Job Overview
This position requires on-site work in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada, with staff accommodation and room and board provided. Candidates should have a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience and between two to three years of relevant experience. English language proficiency is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
- Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, rugs, drapes, and upholstered furniture.
- Make beds and change sheets regularly.
- Distribute fresh towels and toiletries to guests.
- Maintain and stock the linen closet.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom surfaces and appliances.
- Manage lost and found items and report accordingly.
- Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or information on facilities.
- Pick up debris and empty trash receptacles.
- Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning changing rooms and showers.
Required Credentials and Certifications
- Possession of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification is mandatory.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced work environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physically demanding duties involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Handling heavy items weighing up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds).
- High attention to detail is necessary.
