Role overview

This position sits within the housekeeping and laundry function at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Lusail, Qatar. It is a full-time, non-management role based on-site.

What you will do

You will welcome guests on arrival, help them safely unload their belongings, and deliver laundry and garments to guest rooms. The role also includes handling guest, front desk, and At Your Service requests promptly, keeping laundry and dry-cleaning items clean and presentable, completing valet tickets accurately, and arranging repairs with the relevant teams before collecting and returning items once repaired.

Service standards and workplace expectations

You are expected to follow all company policies and procedures, wear a clean and complete uniform, maintain a neat professional appearance at all times, and protect confidential brand or hotel information. Clear and courteous communication is essential, including accurate written documentation and proper telephone etiquette. The job also calls for positive teamwork, mutual support, quality awareness, and the ability to respond appropriately to co-workers' concerns.

Physical and schedule requirements

The role requires flexibility to work varying schedules. Physical demands include reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, as well as lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg). You should be comfortable spending long periods standing, sitting, and moving around during the workday.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent secondary qualification is preferred. At least 1 year of related work experience is required. No supervisory background and no licence or certification are needed for this position.
