Role Overview

CrestPoint Strategic Advisors seeks a Senior Program Manager to join a leading private equity client based in New York City. The candidate will work on-site to oversee a multi-phase data platform and technology modernization initiative involving data architecture, reporting, AI integrations, and accounting systems implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans encompassing phases, milestones, and tasks; lead technical stand-up meetings and monitor progress.
  • Provide consistent, transparent status reports to executive sponsors and client leadership; identify and resolve risks, impediments, and dependencies in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Act as the central communication bridge linking business stakeholders and technical delivery teams; align project roadmap with evolving business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to translate business workflows, metrics, and calculations into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Work with business data stewards to uphold data dictionaries, calculation protocols, adjustment processes, and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Over 7 years of experience in private equity investment operations technology, including exposure to fund administration, portfolio investment data, and fund accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing technology and data platform projects in roles blending program management, project management, and senior business analysis.
  • Working knowledge of private equity-specific systems, data frameworks, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging senior executives and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Skilled at bridging business and technical teams by articulating business requirements into clear deliverables.
  • Strong organizational capability in maintaining project schedules and leading scrum-style meetings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses and reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Background within private equity firms, fund administrators, or consulting/technology firms serving alternative investments.
  • Knowledge of large language models, AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT), and automated workflow enhancements is a significant advantage.

Success Criteria

  • Leadership has complete and timely insights into project progress, risks, and future plans without unexpected developments.
  • The technical team receives thoroughly documented requirements on time, avoiding delays due to ambiguous business input.
  • Data and calculation standards are precise, current, and trusted by all stakeholders.
