Role overview
This is a full-time, onsite Import and Export Administrator role based at the Port of Brisbane for a large global transport organisation. The position calls for a highly organised person who can manage time well, work smoothly with others, adapt quickly when priorities change, and stay steady during busy stretches.
Work schedule and pay
- Hourly pay is $36.16, which includes casual loading.
- Shifts run Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Free secure parking is provided on site for all staff.
Key duties
- Arrive on time and remain flexible with start and finish times when needed.
- Communicate confidently in English; bilingual candidates are also welcome.
- Use basic computer tools and work comfortably with Excel spreadsheets.
- Handle customer service tasks such as answering calls and speaking with drivers.
- Carry out data entry and maintain Border Force form sheets using gate pass details.
- Update operational reports, including AQIS and fumigation-related records.
- Review import manifests and manage FAK unpack processing through the system using customer manifest summaries.
- Complete out-turning for unpacked containers through CFS and send details to the relevant customer.
- Support drivers by processing paperwork, issuing the correct freight, receiving export goods, and preparing labels and documents.
- Carry out directives as requested.
- Manage time effectively and provide support across import and export coordination to cover leave when required.
Experience and qualifications
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in import or export support is required.
- The candidate must be able to pass Bio Security checks.
- A forklift licence and the ability to use an EPJ during quieter office periods would be an advantage.
