Freight/Receiving Associate

About the Role

The Freight/Receiving Associate plays a vital part in maintaining optimal store readiness by ensuring products are reliably stocked and available for customers. This role involves unloading and loading merchandise trucks, transporting goods from the receiving dock to designated areas within the store, and potentially operating forklifts. The position requires strong attention to inventory accuracy and price maintenance to support customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload inbound trucks and transfer materials to appropriate locations within the store.
• Operate forklifts where applicable to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
• Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and pricing to support customer needs.
• Engage directly with customers when required, delivering excellent customer service.
• Perform duties that contribute to the overall smooth operation of Freight Team roles, which may include team associate, lead, receiving, or support functions.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving merchandise.
• Customer service skills to interact positively with shoppers.
• Capability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment may be necessary.
