Role Overview
We are looking for a Road Safety Coordinator specialized in the oil and gas construction sector to oversee the safety of personnel and equipment during transportation and on-site activities. This position involves implementing and supervising road safety initiatives, conducting risk evaluations, and ensuring strict compliance with industry best practices and local traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce road safety protocols for construction zones and transit paths.
- Conduct systematic inspections and audits focusing on vehicles, drivers, and roadway conditions.
- Provide training on defensive driving techniques and safe transportation procedures.
- Investigate road-related incidents and compile comprehensive reports highlighting corrective measures.
- Work collaboratively with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to embed road safety into broader project safety frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to UAE traffic laws and global oil and gas safety standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five years' experience, preferably within oil and gas field environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- NEBOSH certification.
- In-depth understanding of traffic rules, defensive driving principles, and HSE regulations.
- Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
- Willingness and ability to work at remote project sites.
