Role Overview

We are looking for a Road Safety Coordinator specialized in the oil and gas construction sector to oversee the safety of personnel and equipment during transportation and on-site activities. This position involves implementing and supervising road safety initiatives, conducting risk evaluations, and ensuring strict compliance with industry best practices and local traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and enforce road safety protocols for construction zones and transit paths.
Conduct systematic inspections and audits focusing on vehicles, drivers, and roadway conditions.
Provide training on defensive driving techniques and safe transportation procedures.
Investigate road-related incidents and compile comprehensive reports highlighting corrective measures.
Work collaboratively with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to embed road safety into broader project safety frameworks.
Ensure adherence to UAE traffic laws and global oil and gas safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of five years' experience, preferably within oil and gas field environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Valid UAE Driving License.
NEBOSH certification.
In-depth understanding of traffic rules, defensive driving principles, and HSE regulations.
Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
Willingness and ability to work at remote project sites.
