Position Overview
We are searching for a skilled Procurement Expeditor to join our procurement team and support significant EPC Oil & Gas projects. The role is crucial in coordinating and driving expediting activities to guarantee the punctual delivery of materials and equipment aligned with the project timelines and procurement criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and implement expediting processes to assure timely arrival of materials and equipment per project schedules and procurement specifications.
- Continuously monitor purchase orders and engage proactively with suppliers to address and resolve any delays.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to facilitate the delivery and reception of project materials and equipment.
- Track, report, and communicate expediting progress, identify possible risks, and suggest corrective measures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate procurement documentation and update management systems accordingly.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and ensure conformity to procurement policies, procedures, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance procurement processes and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years' experience in procurement, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline; professional certifications such as CIPS or APICS are advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities with expertise in tracking procurement deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain best practices, regulations, and a detail-oriented approach coupled with a proactive stance on process improvements.
