About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support offender participation in education, vocational training, and employment initiatives.
  • Engage with cultural programs and community activities tailored for prisoners.
  • Manage prisoner inductions, accommodation arrangements, perimeter security, and external escorts.
  • Prepare detailed reports for case management and documentation purposes.
  • Explore specialized areas within the role offering diverse career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

You do not need prior professional experience or formal qualifications to apply, but a current open or provisional driver's license is essential. The role demands competency in digital systems for effective report writing, communication, and record keeping. Applicants’ language, literacy, numeracy, and digital abilities will be evaluated during recruitment and training phases.

  • An aggregated shift allowance of 31.5% for correctional center officers; court unit roles follow regular weekday hours without shift allowances.
