Role Overview

Qatar Airways invites applications for the position of Spa Therapist, responsible for delivering high-quality spa services including professional massage therapies, body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, and waxing. This role focuses on maintaining excellent guest service standards and ensuring treatment effectiveness and safety.

Key Duties

• Conduct spa treatments as scheduled with adherence to safety and efficacy standards.
• Provide guests with safe, effective, and pleasant treatment experiences.
• Select appropriate spa music to enhance the ambiance as per treatment guidelines.
• Be knowledgeable about all spa offerings to help promote services and encourage guest retention through friendly and tactful guest interactions.
• Identify opportunities to recommend home care products or additional spa services tailored to guests.
• Complete all procedural documentation promptly and accurately.
• Maintain tidiness and ensure all necessary items such as towels, candles, and oils are stocked in treatment rooms.
• Keep storage areas organized and replenish spa equipment and products following guidelines.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment immediately to the responsible team member.
• Exemplify professionalism by adhering to scheduled start and end times and maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Operate in a manner that protects health, safety, and the environment, complying with spa environmental, health, and safety policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum requirement: High School qualification plus at least one year of relevant work experience OR a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with no prior experience.
• Possession of CIBTAC and CIDESCO beauty therapy qualifications or internationally recognized equivalent diploma.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Preferred experience includes working in 5-star resorts, hotels, or day spas.
• Expertise in body anatomy and physiology, human biology, chemistry, hygiene protocols, facial treatments, basic and advanced massage techniques, manicures and pedicures, body treatments, waxing, galvanic body and facial treatments.
• Familiarity with leading spa brands and products.
• Ability to effectively apply various beauty therapy techniques including massages, facials, body wraps and scrubs, manicures, pedicures, and waxing services.
