Telecommunications Specialist (Remote)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This fully remote position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing network performance and reliability.

Key Duties

• Design, deploy, and improve telecommunications networks, including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
• Work collaboratively with various teams to integrate telecom solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
• Conduct network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions and maintain system reliability.
• Configure and administer telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, and gateways.
• Prepare detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal use and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong expertise in VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols and related technologies.
• In-depth understanding of network architecture, including routing and switching principles.
• Experience handling telecom hardware devices including routers, switches, and gateways.
• Proficient with network monitoring and diagnostic tools essential for system oversight.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
