Role Summary
We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This fully remote position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing network performance and reliability.
Key Duties
- Design, deploy, and improve telecommunications networks, including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
- Work collaboratively with various teams to integrate telecom solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
- Conduct network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions and maintain system reliability.
- Configure and administer telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, and gateways.
- Prepare detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal use and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong expertise in VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols and related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of network architecture, including routing and switching principles.
- Experience handling telecom hardware devices including routers, switches, and gateways.
- Proficient with network monitoring and diagnostic tools essential for system oversight.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
