Role Summary

We are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis. This fully remote position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing network performance and reliability.

Key Duties

Design, deploy, and improve telecommunications networks, including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
Work collaboratively with various teams to integrate telecom solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
Conduct network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptions and maintain system reliability.
Configure and administer telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, and gateways.
Prepare detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures for internal use and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

At least three years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related technical discipline.
Strong expertise in VoIP, SIP, and PSTN protocols and related technologies.
In-depth understanding of network architecture, including routing and switching principles.
Experience handling telecom hardware devices including routers, switches, and gateways.
Proficient with network monitoring and diagnostic tools essential for system oversight.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
Effective communication skills to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
