Role Overview

The Senior Supply & Demand Planner for the Baby and Child Care (BCC) division plays a pivotal role in optimizing supply planning to enhance customer service levels while controlling costs through efficient inventory management and ordering processes. This position involves close collaboration with international manufacturing sites, primarily in China, Singapore, and Korea, managing production meetings, purchase order governance, and reviewing safety stock and lead times.

This role also supports demand planning by coordinating baseline and promotional forecast inputs from National Sales, Account, and Category Management teams. The planner develops a comprehensive SKU-level forecast segmented by state over a 24-month horizon and manages short-term demand changes and allocation of limited stock. This function is foundational for production, procurement, and distribution planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a direct report based in China who manages dispatch planning, purchase orders, and mixed container requests to improve shipping efficiency.
  • Drive customer service excellence (DIFOT, OBSL) while minimizing costs through accurate ordering and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with overseas mills to lead weekly supply and production meetings.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to derive robust demand plans based on detailed analysis and clear identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Provide precise volume forecasts as key inputs to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, covering the applicable product and customer hierarchy.
  • Manage New Product Development (NPD) projects including SKU creation and maintenance in SAP and the Product Data Capture system.
  • Effectively manage Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SLOB) to reduce write-off risks.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional meetings, representing supply chain interests in S&OP forums.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • At least five years of experience in supply and demand planning within the FMCG sector.
  • Proficient in SAP, APO, IBP, and general ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical mindset capable of performing quantitative and statistical analyses with qualitative input to generate actionable insights.
  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent relationship building, stakeholder management, and emotional intelligence skills to foster cross-functional partnerships.
  • Effective communication skills, including presentation and training abilities.
  • Proactive team player with resilience under pressure and strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Personal affinity with Kimberly-Clark products through family or personal usage.
