Role Overview
The Waiter role at Shangri-La Jeddah goes beyond greeting and serving. The position focuses on delivering memorable food and beverage experiences, creating pleasant guest interactions, and upholding Shangri-La service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the menu thoroughly, including how each item is prepared
- Guide guests in choosing dishes and beverages
- Take orders accurately and deliver service with warmth and care
- Focus on creating memorable, guest-pleasing moments
- Prepare the restaurant area before service begins
- Work closely with the culinary team to keep service timely and smooth
- Ensure billing is completed correctly and posted properly
- Follow all Shangri-La food safety processes and procedures
- Support teammates in the success of the food and beverage outlet
- Assist the supervisor in keeping meal operations running efficiently
Candidate Profile
- Strong conversational ability for engaging with guests
- Good command of English
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- At least 1 year of waiter experience in a 5-star hotel
