Role overview
At Screwfix, the focus is on serving tradespeople and helping them get what they need quickly and reliably. The business offers more than 60,000 products across 900+ stores, supported by strong digital services. As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a key part in the store team, leading by example and keeping customer needs at the centre of everything you do.
This role may involve both customer-facing work and warehouse support, with an emphasis on maintaining high standards, working efficiently, and contributing to a positive team environment. Full training is provided, so product knowledge is not required from the outset.
Opening hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
- Saturday: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Sunday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Key responsibilities
- Lead the in-store customer experience and act as a visible role model for great service.
- Help customers identify what they need and direct them to the most suitable products.
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, including cash handling, customer issues, audit readiness, and stock control.
- Support team coordination and contribute to a positive, energetic working atmosphere.
Experience and attributes
- Previous experience as a supervisor or duty manager in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Confidence in managing a small team.
- Strong customer service ability, with a natural ability to turn good service into sales.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to keep improving.
- Genuine interest in the business and its customers.
- Friendly, dependable, flexible, honest, and hardworking.
