Role Overview
A London Local Authority is looking for an experienced Interim HR Consultant to offer expert HR guidance and support on a variety of employee relations and organisational challenges. This temporary role, based in East London with a hybrid working model, is compensated at £37.84 per hour through an umbrella arrangement.
Primary Duties
- Deliver expert advice and practical HR solutions to managers and staff respecting policies and legal requirements.
- Oversee a caseload of complex HR issues ensuring they are resolved efficiently.
- Provide coaching and assistance to line managers to enhance their people management capabilities.
- Lead and manage a team within the HR Advice & Consultancy service.
- Participate in organisational change programs and support transformation efforts.
- Create and update HR toolkits, including development of policies, procedures, and guidance materials.
- Maintain a responsive and consistent HR service aligned with organisational goals.
Essential Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of employee relations and UK employment law.
- Proven track record in managing complex HR casework and guiding organisational change.
- Capability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across different levels.
- Experience in leading or managing HR teams within large and diverse organisations.
- Strong analytical skills accompanied by sound judgement on HR matters.
- Membership with MCIPD or equivalent professional body.
