Position Overview

This contract opportunity is for a Rubrics Expert working remotely in the United States, committing between 10-40 hours each week. The role focuses on creating and refining scoring rubrics tailored to diverse assessments and content areas to enhance evaluation quality.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, robust scoring rubrics aligned with various assessment requirements and content domains.
Define and improve scoring methodologies ensuring clear, reliable scoring consistent with learning objectives.
Lead sessions for training and calibrating assessors and subject experts to maintain consistent and reliable scoring across evaluators.
Validate assessment tools and rubrics through pilot testing, data analysis, and ongoing quality checks.
Utilize advanced analytics to review performance data, identify trends, and guide rubric revisions.
Create structured, actionable feedback mechanisms derived from rubric outcomes to promote learner development.
Work collaboratively with instructional designers, educators, and other stakeholders to drive a high standard of assessment practice.

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable experience in designing effective rubrics for assessments.
Comprehensive understanding of scoring approaches, calibration protocols, and validation processes.
Strong analytical abilities to interpret assessment data and implement rubric enhancements.
