Role Overview

We are seeking a Head Section Waitstaff who can deliver superior food and beverage service in a bustling setting. This role demands leadership to manage a restaurant section while maintaining exceptional service quality in alignment with company standards.

Key Duties

  • Oversee and lead a designated section of the dining floor, ensuring efficient and polished service.
  • Welcome and seat guests while offering professional, attentive engagement throughout their meal.
  • Accurately take and coordinate food and drink orders, demonstrating detailed knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior waitstaff, including training and constructive feedback.
  • Handle table assignments, collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Address and resolve customer issues professionally and swiftly.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations along with hygiene and Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements.
  • Support overall restaurant standards and operational success.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable restaurant role.
  • Proficient in food and beverage service, especially wine and cocktail knowledge.
  • Capable under pressure during busy service periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Dedicated to exceptional guest service standards.
  • Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers an annual salary of AUD 80,000 (Grade 4+) plus superannuation, matching industry benchmarks. Work hours include evenings and weekends.
