Role Summary

Novotel and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate Hotels are looking for an energetic Waitress who speaks Arabic to join their hotel team in the UAE. The role is centered on delivering attentive food and beverage service, supporting banquet and outlet operations, and ensuring guests receive professional and courteous care.

Key Duties

  • Arrive on time for every shift in the correct uniform, complete with name badge and palm pin.
  • Collect, carry, and organize all items needed to prepare a function setup.
  • Complete assigned side work and checklist tasks.
  • Inform the manager about any departure from approved standards or procedures.
  • Keep all operating tools and equipment in proper condition.
  • Make sure service areas and storage spaces remain secure, tidy, and locked.
  • Escalate guest complaints, incidents, and other irregular situations to management.
  • Support work simplification efforts and process improvements when required.
  • Maintain punctuality at all times.
  • Give guests the attention and assistance they need during service.
  • Interact with colleagues, supervisors, and leadership in a professional manner.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns, and changes on site in a polite and helpful way.
  • Prepare and clear function rooms, including arranging tables according to standards.
  • Handle cashiering duties and beverage dispensing when directed by Banquet Management.
  • Follow hotel and departmental policies and procedures without exception.
  • Provide high-quality food and beverage service in line with company standards.
  • Share any service issues, guest feedback, and relevant updates with the supervisor.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
  • Stay fully informed about F&B services, outlets, hotel facilities, and operating hours relevant to the job.
  • Take on additional duties assigned by hotel management.
  • Support other food and beverage outlets during busy periods whenever needed.

Required Profile

  • Average reading, writing, and speaking ability in Arabic; English is an added advantage.
  • Well-groomed appearance and professional presentation at all times.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal well with guests.
  • Sound problem-solving ability.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage products.
  • Good interpersonal skills and self-confidence.
  • Guest-focused attitude with a strong emphasis on service quality.
  • Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Additional Information

Previous experience is considered an asset. Familiarity with relevant systems is preferred. The employer values strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Fluency in Arabic and English is expected, and knowledge of an additional language is beneficial.
