The hotel sits in Singapore’s Duxton Hill area, positioned between Chinatown’s energy and the CBD. The neighbourhood is known for its cafés, dining spots, art spaces, and independent shops. The property is part of Mondrian Singapore and is presented as a boundary-pushing hospitality destination.

Role Overview

This position combines guest स्वागत duties with dining room service support. The role calls for polished guest interaction, strong coordination with the team, attention to presentation, and consistent service standards across restaurant operations.

Guest Handling and Front-of-House Service

  • Greet and manage prospective guests in a warm, tactful, and professional way at all times.
  • Maintain a courteous, polished approach while handling guest interactions.
  • Listen to guest needs, comments, requests, and complaints, then follow through promptly and appropriately.
  • Build a respectful, familiar rapport with regular guests and keep service personalized.
  • Support a high guest profile and ensure communications remain friendly and efficient.

Reservations, Seating, and Table Management

  • Record reservation details accurately, including time, date, party size, guest name or room number, and contact number.
  • Plan table assignments in advance based on the reservation book and seating periods.
  • Prepare tables before service begins.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently during service.
  • Maintain effective and efficient table management throughout service.

Service Standards and Operational Support

  • Deliver food from the kitchen in line with company procedures and service standards.
  • Keep full knowledge of menu items, product details, and service procedures.
  • Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organized, and ready for service, including tables, chairs, floors, and the service station.
  • Complete cleaning tasks within allotted timeframes and to company standards.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures thoroughly.
  • Stay alert, proactive, and assertive throughout the shift.
  • Guide and support servers in the restaurant and step into supervisory duties regularly.
  • Help keep daily restaurant operations running smoothly.

Sales, Cash Handling, and Control

  • Encourage additional sales and upselling to help maximize revenue.
  • Keep cash floats secure at all times.
  • Work within budgeted cost targets.
  • Limit waste and misuse of operating equipment.
  • Ensure supply requests are raised, delivered, and properly accounted for.
  • Reduce overtime where possible.
  • Maintain enough operating equipment for daily business needs.
  • Record voids and escalate payment differences to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Follow company procedures for handling cash, credit cards, and cheques.

Coordination, Reporting, and Team Communication

  • Coordinate regularly with colleagues to meet guest needs.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef and Reception on a regular basis.
  • Ensure proper handover at the start and end of shifts.
  • Gather guest feedback consistently.
  • Prepare a complete daily summary in the Management Report Book.
  • Attend business review meetings, sales meetings, management meetings, and any other required meetings.

Quality, Brand, and Community Focus

  • Maintain a strong focus on service quality, consistency, food and beverage standards, and cleanliness.
  • Support other hotel revenue areas such as Rooms and Events when needed.
  • Check that company assets remain well maintained and protected through regular inspections.
  • Help position the business as a respected and valued part of the local community.
  • Perform any other duties that fit the role’s scope and purpose.
