Job description
Position overview
The role is focused on preparing the dining area ahead of service and keeping it tidy, well-organized, and presentable throughout the shift, while also supporting guest service tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Support morning cleaning activities in the restaurant.
- Ensure service equipment and utensils are cleaned before each meal service.
- Assist the captain waiter with setting up the restaurant.
- Maintain a neat personal appearance and a strong standard of hygiene.
- Help prepare the mise en place as directed by the captain waiter.
- Move food from the kitchen to the dining area.
- Support the captain waiter in placing dishes on customers’ tables.
- Replace ashtrays and refill water glasses during service.
- Clear tables after guests finish and clean them properly.
- Carry used plates and glasses to the dishwashing area.
- Follow the captain waiter’s instructions and work under their supervision.
