Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for an MES Specialist to support and improve enterprise manufacturing execution systems in an on-site contract role based in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on system reliability, enhancements, integrations, and technical support across multiple MES-related platforms and data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out continuous support, maintenance, and functional improvements for MES applications.
- Work with Meridium (APM Framework) and related asset performance management processes.
- Handle hydrocarbon accounting, well back allocation, utility balance, and energy balance activities.
- Support predictive emissions monitoring, including Schneider Wonderware Historian dashboards and stack emissions predictive models.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell PHD, Uniformance, Excel Companion, and LIMS integrations.
- Administer MES system infrastructure and perform regular operational tasks.
- Assist with system upgrades and installation of service packs.
- Support data uploads, application integrations, and connectivity across systems.
- Manage application and service authorization settings.
- Implement data model improvements and ongoing updates.
- Configure applications, deliver custom enhancements, and resolve defects.
- Work on PHD data access through OPC clients and fix integration issues with other business systems.
Required Experience & Skills
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience implementing enterprise MES solutions using Honeywell PHD, LIMS, Meridium, Schneider Wonderware, and Aspen systems.
- Strong exposure to MES product suites such as Honeywell PHD, LIMS, Meridium, Schneider Wonderware, Aspen IP21, HYSIS, and AORA.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and enterprise database environments.
- Experience in application administration and security management.
- Ability to develop applications with Microsoft ASP.NET, VB.NET, SSRS reporting, stored procedures, and SQL queries.
- Understanding of solution architecture, IIS web servers, Active Directory integration, application security, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience loading data from multiple source systems.
- Solid awareness of IT infrastructure and application security practices.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and external partners.
- Strong analytical ability to design user-friendly MES solutions at enterprise scale.
- Oil and gas domain knowledge is an advantage, especially MES implementation experience in that sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
