Role Overview

As a Vendor Consultant within Selling Partner Engagement and Growth (SPEG), you will help define and execute the approach for managing Amazon vendors. This position requires a customer-focused, proactive, and creative professional who can work closely with internal Retail and Vendor Services stakeholders and oversee multiple aspects of vendor business performance.

You will collaborate across functions such as merchandising, buying, catalog operations, inventory, finance, operations, and online marketing to improve the results of strategic vendor partners. The role blends strategic account management with operational ownership, including relationship management, analysis, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure success through the performance of internal teams on input metrics and the effect vendors have on overall customer experience.
  • Work with the Retail Category team to manage vendor relationships and advocate for vendor needs within Amazon.
  • Create strong communication lines across levels, set clear expectations, share status updates, and guide vendor growth plans.
  • Develop and implement account plans that support business opportunities and KPIs for both the vendor and Amazon.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to strengthen operational processes and improve the consumer experience.
  • Analyze vendor issues in depth, prepare data-backed recommendations, and define action plans to improve vendor outcomes.
  • Provide strategic input on planning, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Build long-term partnerships with key vendor accounts.
  • Support the rollout of new programs, categories, and features.
  • Run regular WBRs and MBRs with vendors, review performance metrics, and drive action-oriented follow-ups.

Requirements

  • Background in business analysis or other roles that demand strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational capability.
  • Strong interest in e-commerce and a solid understanding of the sector.
  • Arabic proficiency; C1/C2 certification is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in vendor management, sales, account management, or business development, with B2B exposure preferred. Experience in retail buying, planning, marketing, or e-commerce will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation ability, with communication that is concise and structured.
  • A consultative, attentive, and solution-focused approach to stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment while taking full ownership of results.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to handle several projects at once.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience with Lean or Six Sigma analytical methods.
  • Associate's degree or above, or an MBA.
