About the Role
This critical position leads Amazon's flagship leadership development initiative within the Amazon Future Builder Program (AFBP), focusing specifically on MBA hires in India. The role ensures comprehensive oversight and transformation of program components across three focus areas—Stores, Finance, and RBS—while managing multiple cohorts simultaneously. Collaboration with senior leaders (L8 and L10) across the business and People Experience teams is essential to accelerate career progression for high-potential talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire AFBP program lifecycle, handling multiple ongoing cohorts and three major swimlanes simultaneously.
- Collaborate with the AUTA team during demand planning to ensure alignment between business leadership and operational expenditure budgets, while securing commitment for incoming cohorts.
- Plan and execute an intensive one-week Incubator onboarding program involving coordination with senior leadership, curriculum design, and logistical arrangements.
- Manage rotation assignments by aligning participant goals with open roles, facilitating smooth transitions between managers across rotations.
- Oversee performance appraisals, talent review cycles, mentorship tracking, engagement initiatives, and graduation processes including code transitions and compensation updates.
Transformation through AI
- Implement Agentic AI solutions to automate communications, nudges for rotations, manager follow-ups, and general stakeholder coordination, minimizing manual intervention.
- Develop and refine an AI-driven Rotation Matching Engine that analyzes roles, employee capabilities, and historical data to optimize rotation placements and enhance outcomes.
- Leverage AI to generate actionable insights related to program health, including promotion readiness, engagement levels, and early warnings for participants at risk.
Strategic Partnerships and Benchmarking
- Collaborate with IN OPS to integrate best practices and benchmark the program accordingly.
- Hold leaders accountable for investing in talent development and achieving measurable promotion outcomes beyond simple rotational experiences.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews for each swimlane, assessing promotion pipelines, identifying impediments, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Partner with AUTA on internship designs, campus strategies, and incubator planning to support program goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of cross-functional experience working with both technical and non-technical teams.
- At least 3 years of experience managing programs or projects end-to-end.
- Proven track record of designing and applying process improvements using data analysis and metrics.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel including pivot tables and VLookups, as well as SQL knowledge.
- Ability to establish program requirements and leverage data for continual enhancement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 3 years of experience delivering projects end-to-end and effectively communicating results to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success driving process improvements and stakeholder management across multiple hierarchical levels.
- Strong background in building processes, project management, and schedule coordination.
