About the Role

The HR Business Partner serves as a generalist resource providing support to a large workforce of hourly employees and business leaders, with a strong focus on leadership development, enhancing employee experience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance site effectiveness by identifying recurring issues, addressing their root causes, and making strategic decisions aligned with company policies while mitigating risks. Implement systems to ensure fair, consistent policy application in accordance with evolving regulations.
  • Analyze data to spot emerging trends, anticipate challenges, and develop proactive, data-driven initiatives that improve employee engagement and organizational performance.
  • Implement and track employee engagement tactics and recognition programs; maintain regular presence on the floor to gather feedback and respond to early disengagement signals by working closely with leadership.
  • Coach business leaders on proficient people management techniques such as delivering performance feedback, fostering team development, and managing complex employee relations.
  • Collaborate with leaders to enforce equitable talent practices in hiring, development, and promotion, championing diversity and inclusion across the workforce.
  • Promote and help adopt advanced HR technologies including AI tools and self-service platforms, improving user experience and process efficiencies while maintaining high-touch support during critical employee moments.

Your daily work integrates strategic planning with insights derived from data analytics and AI-driven technologies to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. You will support leadership teams in workforce management, design forward-thinking HR strategies aligned with business objectives, and foster strong partnerships across all organizational levels to implement workplace improvements.

About the Team

Amazon's North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) operates fast-paced fulfillment centers utilizing robotics and sophisticated tracking systems to deliver millions of items daily. The NACF PXT team focuses on talent development, offering a supportive environment for employees to grow and succeed across Amazon’s many business lines, managing locations with up to 6,000 associates and driving continuous HR functional excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling employee-centric processes such as onboarding, benefits administration, workplace investigations, training, or talent management.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least two years of human resources experience or equivalent background in sectors such as operations, customer service, retail, distribution, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, or manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to train and support others in HR technology use, focusing on adoption and user satisfaction.
  • Strong skills in building effective partnerships with business leaders.
  • Experience managing employee relations issues and conducting investigations.
  • Demonstrated coaching and influencing capabilities to guide leaders through complex challenges.
  • Track record of supporting engagement and development programs resulting in measurable improvements in retention or employee satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges from $67,600 to $118,400 annually depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Compensation packages include sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs). Comprehensive benefits are offered, including various health insurance plans (medical, dental, vision, prescription), basic and supplemental life and disability insurance, employee assistance and mental health support, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite at an Amazon facility in Charlotte, NC.
