About the Role
BWS is looking for a Store Manager for its Clayfield location in Hendra, Queensland. This is a leadership role within a large Australian retail network, where the focus is on building an energetic, people-first store environment and leading the team to deliver strong commercial results.
The position calls for someone who can combine hands-on retail management with motivating leadership, while making the store a welcoming and high-performing place for both customers and team members.
What You’ll Do
- Coach, support, and motivate the team so they can meet targets and perform at their best, using company tools and your own initiative.
- Build a customer-focused, safety-conscious workplace that also keeps improving over time.
- Plan, assign, and follow through on daily responsibilities such as stock control, store presentation, housekeeping, and team coordination, with attention to sales growth and budget outcomes.
- Use strong interpersonal skills to create a positive experience for customers and staff.
- Spot opportunities to grow the business and help the store meet key objectives and performance measures.
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service guidelines.
- Shape the look, feel, and local activities of the store so it connects well with the community.
About You
The employer wants someone authentic, energetic, and comfortable bringing their own style to work. The ideal candidate enjoys leading people, values teamwork, and knows how to create a lively culture that stands out.
- You enjoy creating a fun, engaging workplace and building a strong team culture.
- You are organised, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering results for your store and community.
- You have worked in a fast-moving retail or hospitality environment and can solve problems collaboratively.
- You lead by example and set the standard for others to follow.
- You actively support diversity and inclusion and help people feel respected and welcome.
- You are committed to developing people and helping others grow in confidence and capability.
Perks and Benefits
The role comes with access to career growth across BWS and the broader Endeavour Group network. Team members also receive a discount card for BWS, Dan Murphy’s, other Endeavour Group brands including ALH pubs, as well as discounts from Woolworths and Big W. Additional support is available through Endeavour Wellbeing Support, which includes assistance for critical incidents, career matters, conflict, nutrition, lifestyle, money, family, legal issues, and general employee support.
