Job description

About the role

This position leads the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) for a helicopter operation in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on making sure continuing airworthiness oversight is effective, compliant with QCAA regulations, and aligned with agreed contract terms for Part 145 services across safety, quality, and cost. The incumbent is expected to ensure that maintenance, modification, and repair work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards, using resources efficiently to support aircraft safety, availability, reliability, and customer regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, roll out, and keep current an aircraft maintenance programme together with a strong reliability programme to sustain high fleet availability and reliability.
  • Contribute to long-range planning by identifying and arranging the resources needed for fleet growth and reducing risks linked to the role’s responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain procedures that support ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Design and implement policies and processes that meet operational needs consistently, are cost-effective, and satisfy all relevant legal and industry requirements.
  • Develop the helicopter CAMO function into a capable organization responsible for managing continuing airworthiness in line with approved standards.
  • Select and apply practical approaches to improve manpower use, resources, and systems while lowering operating costs.
  • Adopt recognized industry best practices to strengthen operational efficiency and overall organizational performance.
  • Back the expansion of helicopter operations in line with the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications and experience

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or another relevant aviation discipline. Professional qualifications and aircraft maintenance licences are preferred. Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including executive management exposure. Experience overseeing helicopter continuing airworthiness activities is strongly preferred. Practical background in engineering and/or maintenance planning within a corporate, regional, or charter aircraft environment is also important. Familiarity with QCAA and/or EASA regulatory settings, along with proven project management and leadership capability, is required.
