About the Role
Our client, a reputable international bank known for delivering specialized financial solutions to a wide range of clients, is expanding its team. They are seeking a skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join on a permanent basis, playing a vital role in supporting the credit risk framework through analytical and modelling tasks that influence lending decisions, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve credit risk models and analytical tools.
- Examine credit portfolios to detect important trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in refining risk methodologies in alignment with regulatory standards and business needs.
- Oversee model and portfolio performance, providing analysis and actionable advice when needed.
- Create detailed documentation, reports, and presentations for various internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Finance, Credit teams, and other departments.
- Support governance, validation, and regulatory scrutiny processes related to models.
- Effectively present insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit Risk function.
- Offer mentorship and support to junior team members as applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in credit risk or credit analytics within banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with credit risk modelling and data analytics.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Python, R, or SQL is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for clearly conveying technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
