Risk Manager

About the role

Mace is delivering strategic project management consultancy on a major programme in Riyadh covering new stadium builds, stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct upgrades. The assignment includes adding new venues, expanding existing stadium capacity, developing mixed-use amenities, and supporting knowledge transfer so operations remain effective and sustainable after construction.

What you will do

• Keep detailed registers of risks and issues up to date and well controlled.
• Lead monthly workshops to review the registers and support monthly reporting.
• Manage risk data within PMWeb and dashboard reporting tools.
• Create documentation and share knowledge so the handover into future phases is seamless.
• Embed risk frameworks and delivery strategies across commissions to strengthen governance and compliance.
• Spot, escalate, and reduce risks early to protect delivery results and improve project resilience.
• Develop strong client relationships by providing clear guidance, open reporting, and assurance on contingency levels.
• Run risk workshops, coordinate closely with PMO and planning teams, and mentor junior team members.
• Carry out quantitative risk analysis, prepare monthly reports, and oversee mitigation action plans to keep the project under control.
• Contribute to the net zero carbon transition by helping identify and manage carbon emissions and reduction opportunities during delivery.

What you need

• A degree or diploma in risk management, engineering, or project management.
• Professional chartered membership or a recognised certification is preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of risk methods, tools, and software, with hands-on experience in analytics and reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, plus the ability to engage stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
• Prior stadium project experience is essential.
• Applicants must meet visa requirements for Saudi Arabia and have relevant experience on high-value projects or programmes within a project management consultancy, as this is needed for immigration and client approval.
