Reliability Engineer – Asset Performance Management

Job Description

This role involves managing non-turnkey projects or projects solely focused on products/equipment. The engineer will oversee the project and directly or indirectly lead and manage project resources for small to medium-sized GE company projects. These projects may exclusively involve equipment, product suites, or non-turnkey solutions.

The position requires a deep understanding of a technical discipline, applying prior experience and acquired technical expertise to implement guidelines and strategies. A thorough grasp of key business drivers is essential, and this understanding will be used to perform individual tasks. The engineer will also gain insight into how their team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader department.

The role necessitates exercising a degree of judgment and the ability to propose solutions beyond defined parameters, albeit with guidance. Utilizing previous experience and on-the-job training, the engineer will resolve straightforward issues. Access to technical skills and analytical thinking is crucial for problem-solving. The ability to leverage multiple internal resources outside of one's immediate team for decision-making is also important.

A position at this level is typically held by an individual contributor with demonstrated interpersonal skills or an emerging leader capable of hiring and developing talent. The role includes providing informal guidance to new team members.
