Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Recruitment Specialist based on-site in Osoyoos, British Columbia. This position focuses on managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) positions in remote camp settings throughout Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle high-volume recruitment processes for remote camp roles.
- Assess and screen candidate applications and conduct interviews to evaluate suitability.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure staffing demands are met promptly and effectively.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems to track hiring progress.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, training support, scheduling, and travel arrangements for new employees.
- Ensure staffing procedures comply with company policies and Canadian employment standards.
- Build and nurture talent pipelines and maintain relationships with external recruiting partners.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in recruitment practices and processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience and skills in recruiting, especially managing large volume hiring.
- Strong interviewing abilities and communication skills to collaborate effectively with candidates and internal teams.
- Experience and skills in onboarding and training new hires.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple recruitment projects and deadlines.
- Post-secondary credentials in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment law and committed to equitable and inclusive hiring practices.
- Preferred experience recruiting for remote work environments such as camps or trades.
- Comfort and proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR software tools, and general office productivity applications.
