Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on quality control work within the functional test lab and related operations. The role involves checking electronic components before shipment, confirming product details, and helping ensure that items leaving the facility match customer and company requirements.
Key Duties
- Carry out visual checks on parts before they are sent to customers, confirming the correct item, part number, quantity, and any visible damage.
- Assist with tasks and assignments in the functional test lab as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Use the correct seal and dry-pack methods based on the moisture sensitivity rating of the components.
- Work with component manufacturers to confirm technical and identification details such as part markings, firmware, and serial numbers.
- Read specification sheets, take measurements, and perform inspections with optical scopes when needed.
- Create discrepancy reports and contribute to functional testing activities.
- Coordinate with procurement specialists and account representatives to resolve issues involving received or shipped materials.
- Support daily operational activities as needed.
Competencies and Experience
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, communicate clearly, and be comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. Quick learning ability, strong attention to detail, and solid problem-solving skills are important. The role may also involve lifting or carrying components in their original packaging when required. Familiarity with precision measuring tools is an advantage.
A minimum of 1 year of QC experience is required, and experience in the electronics sector will be considered a plus.
Software and Tools
Proficiency with MS Office is needed, along with strong internet research skills.
