Role overview
This position sits within a team that oversees media content standards across a range of platforms, including arts and entertainment, films, video games, publications, and broadcast services such as TV, radio, and OTT. The work helps ensure content aligns with community expectations and regulatory codes, supports informed consumer choices, and protects young audiences from material that is not suitable for them.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate media content across different platforms against the applicable content rules, guidelines, and community standards.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to help them understand and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute ideas and inputs toward the creation, refinement, and rollout of relevant policies.
- Handle queries from the media and public relating to content matters, provide secretariat support to advisory committees, and assist with public education initiatives.
What the role calls for
- Strong interest in media-related work, along with 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
- A background in Mass Communications, Media Studies, or Humanities.
- Good understanding of political and social sensitivities, and awareness of the social and economic effects of media.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities, together with a self-driven, collaborative, independent, careful, and resourceful working style.
- Comfort working on multiple tasks and delivering under tight deadlines.
