About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our innovative Talking Therapies service, based at our head office in Bracknell. As a qualified Band 5 PWP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing access to evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression. You will operate within primary care and community settings, assisting service users in building resilience, improving their overall wellbeing, and achieving meaningful recovery.
This role involves working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and requires close collaboration with professionals across health, social care, and community services, underscoring a strong dedication to equality and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-volume, low-intensity interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Provide support to individuals managing long-term health conditions and employment challenges, in conjunction with our dedicated employment support team.
- Offer support to a diverse patient population.
- Participate in and facilitate supervision for new staff members, with opportunities for qualified PWPs to undertake supervisor training annually in partnership with Reading University.
Working Pattern and Perks
The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with hybrid working options allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work. There is an expectation to work one late shift per week, from 12 pm to 8 pm, excluding Fridays.
