About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate qualified Band 5 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our innovative Talking Therapies service in Reading, England. This role is crucial in enhancing access to evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression. You will work within primary care and community settings, empowering service users towards resilience, improved wellbeing, and recovery.
The position involves collaborating with a diverse range of individuals and professionals across health, social care, and community services, with a strong emphasis on equality and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-volume, low-intensity interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Support individuals with long-term health conditions and employment-related challenges, in conjunction with our dedicated employment support team.
- Provide support to a diverse patient population.
- Offer supervision and support to new staff members, with opportunities for supervisor training in collaboration with Reading University.
Working Pattern and Location
The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule. Hybrid working options are available, allowing for a blend of remote and office-based work. There is an expectation to work one late evening per week, typically until 8 pm, excluding Fridays.
