Job description

About the company

Brillion is focused on helping utilities transform the way they communicate and work with customers. Its SaaS platform supports personalized outreach, automated program operations, and smoother customer journeys that improve engagement, confidence, and measurable outcomes. The goal is to help utilities reach their business and operational targets more effectively through better collaboration at every touchpoint.

Role overview

This fully remote Product Manager role owns the strategy, roadmap, and execution for one product line within Brillion. You will work closely with engineering, design, customer success, and go-to-market teams, while being accountable for business outcomes such as adoption, customer growth, and competitive win rate. The role is highly autonomous and requires strong judgment, with an expectation to influence a significant part of the business, brief senior leaders, and represent the product to customers, partners, and analysts.

What you will do

  • Lead the roadmap for your product line with a focus on customer outcomes instead of a simple feature list.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to deliver clearly scoped products with a defined finish line.
  • Build a thoughtful position on how AI should be used in the product, especially given the regulated and trust-sensitive nature of utility communications.
  • Use AI tools confidently in your own day-to-day work for prototyping, research summarization, customer materials, competitive analysis, and automation.
  • Spend meaningful time with customers by shadowing utility marketing and operations teams, joining implementation discussions, and translating insights into product direction.
  • Understand how product changes affect the broader portfolio and help internal stakeholders see the impact across the entire suite.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in an enterprise setting with long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and RFP involvement.
  • Ability to succeed in a regulated and technically complex environment; direct utility experience is not required, but you should be able to show that you can ramp up quickly.
  • Hands-on, fluent use of AI tools in everyday work, including prototyping, research, writing, analysis, and automation.
  • A clear perspective on where AI adds value in customer-facing products, where it introduces risk, and how to evaluate the difference.
  • Product thinking grounded in outcomes, with the ability to frame work in measurable business terms rather than just features.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, including comfort presenting to executives and customers.
  • Willingness to travel about 15% of the time for customer visits, industry events, and team meetings.
  • Exposure to utilities, energy, or another regulated B2B2C environment such as healthcare, financial services, or telecom is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working across a product portfolio instead of only one standalone product is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with customer engagement, marketing automation, or CDP platforms is a plus.
  • Background in AI/ML product work is desirable but not required.
  • Experience in a company undergoing competitive consolidation or platform transition is desirable but not required.
  • Prior consulting, customer success, or solutions engineering experience is a nice-to-have because it can sharpen customer understanding.
