About Fresha
Fresha is an AI-driven platform built for the beauty, wellness, and self-care sector. It supports a wide range of businesses, from salons and barbers to spas, medspas, fitness studios, and health practices.
Used by millions of customers and businesses around the world, Fresha serves more than 140,000 businesses and 450,000+ stylists and professionals, and has handled over 1 billion appointments so far. The company is based in London, United Kingdom, and operates 15 offices across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
The platform enables customers to find, reserve, and pay for appointments with local providers, while businesses use one integrated solution to manage operations through business software and financial technology tools.
Fresha’s ecosystem brings together appointment booking, point-of-sale, customer relationship management, marketing automation, loyalty, product inventory, and team management. Its consumer marketplace also helps partner businesses grow through online bookings, automated marketing, mobile apps, and integrations with major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Google.
Role overview
As a Product Designer at Fresha, you will play an important part in the company’s growth and product innovation. You will report to the Head of Product Design and work closely with product, engineering, customer experience, and senior leadership teams to shape product experiences across the business.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working independently, adapts quickly in a changing environment, takes on challenges confidently, and wants to make a meaningful contribution. You will join an experienced design team with backgrounds from companies such as Sky, Dyson, Renault, and ASOS.
What you will do
- Work alongside product managers, leadership, engineering, design, and other stakeholders to help design and launch features across the product suite.
- Present ideas and design direction clearly to stakeholders and explain the reasoning behind your solutions.
- Own the standard of design output and help strengthen the design culture through sharing knowledge and raising overall quality.
- Deepen your understanding of the product by speaking with internal specialists, reviewing customer feedback, studying usage data, and running research and benchmarking to identify the most valuable improvements.
- Take complicated problems and shape them into simple, elegant solutions that address real user needs while reflecting technical constraints.
- Create polished interface designs and prototypes, from quick interaction explorations to more detailed prototype work, with attention to every visual and functional detail.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in product design.
- Strong visual design and UI craft, grounded in user-centered design thinking.
- A proven eye for consistency, colour, typography, and detail, with experience using design systems to build scalable and attractive interfaces.
- Ability to understand complex problems and turn them into clear, focused product solutions.
- Confidence in communicating product direction, even when deadlines are tight.
- Excellent communication skills, calmness under pressure, creativity, strong problem-solving ability, and close attention to detail.
- Experience translating design ideas into production in collaboration with leadership and engineering teams.
- A self-driven mindset with a proactive approach.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Interview process
The hiring process includes three stages: an initial 30-minute conversation by video or in person with the VP of Product Design; a one-hour online case study with the VP of Design and a design team member; and a final 45-minute in-person presentation with the VP of Design, Head of Product, and CPO.
The company aims to finish the full process and share feedback within 2 weeks. Applications are reviewed manually by the talent team, and while the goal is to assess candidates within 7 days, a high volume of applications may sometimes extend that timeline.
Inclusive workforce
Fresha aims to build a workplace where people from all backgrounds feel comfortable, included, and able to contribute fully. Every applicant is considered fairly for employment.
They do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, gender identity, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic applicable in the hiring location.
If you need accessibility support during the interview process or after joining, Fresha encourages you to share your requirements so appropriate support can be provided.
AI in hiring
The company may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with parts of recruitment, including application review, resume analysis, response assessment, and identifying possible inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human decision-making. Final hiring decisions are made by people, and candidates can request more information about how their data is processed.
