About Fresha
Fresha provides an AI-led operating platform for the beauty, wellness, and self-care sector. It supports businesses such as salons, barbers, spas, medspas, fitness studios, and health practices, while also serving consumers who want to discover, reserve, and pay for appointments locally.
The platform is used by more than 140,000 businesses and 450,000 stylists and professionals around the world, and has handled over 1 billion appointments so far. Headquartered in London, Fresha operates through 15 offices across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
Its ecosystem combines marketplace access with business software and financial technology tools that help merchants manage bookings, point of sale, customer records, marketing automation, loyalty, inventory, and team administration. The marketplace also helps partner businesses grow through online bookings, automated marketing, and integrations with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Google.
Role overview
This position is a senior individual contributor role focused on the intersection of finance and data. You will own the quantitative inputs that support finance activity, including board and investor materials, unit economics, and budgeting. The role requires direct work in the data warehouse and close collaboration with Analytics, Finance Ops, and senior leaders.
This is a business-critical role where leadership will rely on you for accurate numbers, models, and insights rather than background report production.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the data used in quarterly board packs, investor updates, and other investor-facing materials.
- Set up and manage the calendar for all internal and external finance reporting deadlines.
- Develop and keep current partner, revenue, and gross profit retention schedules, including GRR and NRR across any time period.
- Make sure all finance inputs for Commercial Performance Update decks are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
- Lead deal-level unit economics work by country, including forecasts for revenue, gross profit, and contribution margin.
- Maintain and refine the attribution framework across organic, marketing, and direct sales channels.
- Build cohort-based financial models covering CAC, LTV, and payback period.
- Create operating and financial models to assess strategic options and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Supply Finance Ops with the data extracts needed for month-end close, reconciliations, and audits.
- Update the budgeting and forecasting model, load actuals, and perform variance analysis.
- Spot and escalate data issues before they show up in reporting outputs.
- Work directly in the data warehouse to pull, validate, and maintain finance datasets.
- Partner with Data Engineering to ensure finance metrics are defined correctly and stored in the appropriate tables.
- Promote better data-led decision-making across commercial and finance teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, or a data-intensive strategy role within a fast-growing technology business.
- Prior involvement in investor or board reporting, with a clear understanding of board pack expectations.
- Strong SQL ability, including writing original queries independently.
- Proven experience building unit economics models such as CAC, LTV, payback, and cohort analysis from the ground up.
- Background with marketplace or SaaS models and familiarity with the key metrics, including GMV, take rate, net revenue retention, and partner economics.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to compare data across multiple sources and detect inconsistencies.
- Comfortable presenting analysis to executive- and director-level stakeholders.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Preferred: prior experience in a VC-backed or PE-backed technology company and exposure to investor relations reporting cycles.
- Preferred: Python or a similar tool for data manipulation and automation.
- Nice to have: professional credentials such as CFA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Nice to have: experience with M&A, due diligence, or corporate documentation.
Inclusive hiring
Fresha aims to build a workplace where people from all backgrounds feel respected, included, and able to contribute fully. Applications are reviewed fairly, and hiring decisions are made without discrimination based on protected characteristics relevant to the candidate’s location.
If you need accessibility support during interviews or after joining, the company encourages you to share those needs so appropriate arrangements can be made.
Hiring process note
AI tools may be used to support parts of the recruitment process, such as application review, resume analysis, response assessment, and checking for potential inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools assist the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people. If you want more detail about how your data is handled, you may contact the company.
